Every winter I make an effort to check out at least one new restaurant through Winterlicious. The annual extravaganza allows you to visit a number of very popular Toronto Restaurants and eat from a three course prix fixe menu. The menus range from $15-$25 for lunch and $25-$45 for dinner per person.

Winterlicious Toronto is currently in it's tenth year and takes place from January 27^th through February 9^th. From the perspective of a Mystery Shopping company, the event is brilliant. These restaurants have it right, they understand amazing customer service, great food, and quality ambiance will keep customers coming back for more. These savy restaurateurs are willing to slash their prices once a year to give people a glimpse of why their dining experience is worth more.

Many of these restaurants are fully booked weeks in advance, and all are very busy once you arrive. When customers, especially in Toronto, are greeted with a busy restaurant and are still shown genuine customer service paired with unbelievable food quality it speaks to the caliber of the restaurant. To this same token, restaurants included in the Winterlicious event must know they will be slammed come January 27^th which should act a as a deterrent for any restaurant that “can't take the heat”.

For all of these reasons I highly recommend Winterlicious for the customer service/quality-centric restaurant goer.
